Dr. Vaughn

Dr. Vaughn is a gentle, caring dentist who uses the most advanced materials and procedures available in dentistry. He practices comfortable, health-centered dentistry and enjoys getting to know each of his patients. In addition to his technical proficiency, Dr. Vaughn is a careful listener and will explain beforehand what treatment is best for your individual needs.

After earning his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Michigan State University, Dr. Vaughn received his doctorate from the University Of Michigan School Of Dentistry. After earning his dental degree, Dr. Vaughn completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Howard University Hospital. During his residency, Dr. Vaughn gained advanced training in oral surgery, implant placement, rehabilitation of complex dental cases, and sedation dentistry. He continues to remain at the forefront of his profession through his successful completion of several continuing education courses including advanced implant placement, orthodontics, Invisalign, and child management. Dr. Vaughn has also contributed to and was published in "Dentistry Today" one of the nation's leading publications in modern dentistry.

Dr. Vaughn strongly believes in contributing and giving back to the community. He has participated and volunteered in several missionary trips including a missionary trip to Africa. There, Dr. Vaughn, working with other medical professionals, helped to provide dental care to an under served village, consisting primarily of women and children. He has also participated in the local big brother program where he served as a mentor for at risk children with incarcerated parents.

He enjoys exercising, golf, outdoor activities, and spending time with his wife Brina, and their two daughters  Leah and Lauren.

Brina Vaughn, RDH

Our Dental Hygienist, Brina Vaughn, is a caring, highly skilled clinician who provides gentle yet thorough preventative care to her patients. After earning her Bachelor's degree in Human Relations from Trinity College, Brina received her Dental Hygiene Certification at Howard University's College of Dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association, Virginia Dental Hygiene Association, and the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.

Brina's gentle touch and warm personality make her a great addition to our team. She believes preventative care and patient education are key to maintaining optimal oral and systemic health.

Yvette Woodman, RDH 

Yvette joined our team in November, 2010 as a dental hygienist. She is a dedicated, gentle and caring clinician who provides the most conservative, up-to-date patient care with an emphasis on preventive care and patient education. She has a warm welcoming demeanor that will quickly put you at ease and make you feel comfortable.

Yvette received both her bachelor’s degree in Biology and master’s degree in information management from Marymount University. After working in the pharmaceutical industry for 15 years, she received her degree in Dental Hygiene from Northern Virginia Community College. She is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association and the Virginia Dental Hygiene Association.

Yvette is fluent in Spanish. Her interest includes traveling, outdoor activities, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Kristin,    Financial Coordinator 

Angie, Patient  Coordinator 

Angie is one of the first faces you will see when you come into the office and voices you will hear when you call. She adores her job as our patient coordinator and is committed to making your experience as comfortable, enjoyable, and as stress free as possible. She can assist you with questions and address your concerns. Angie is constantly seeking to learn more in the dental and customer service field in order to give her patients the best experience possible.

In her spare time, Angie enjoys spending time with her daughters, going to the gym, traveling,  and  doing anything that is new and exciting. 

Michelle, Head Dental Assistant

Michelle was born and raised in Northern Virginia. She has a natural ability to quickly pick up on new procedures as well as having a friendly personality. She is responsible for all the operations in the clinical aspect of assisting the Doctors and Hygienists. She is responsible for the sterilization of all instruments and equipment, handles all the ordering of supplies as well as being the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) representative for our office. Michelle's goal is to make your visit as relaxing as possible greeting every patient with a smile.

Her interests include spending time with family and friends, playing soccer, and taking care of her dog.

John (JR),  Dental Assistant

John is the newest member of our team. As a dental assistant, John is dedicated to establishing positive and caring relationships with our patients while providing exceptional service and quality dental care. He loves getting to know the patients and making a difference in their lives by helping to meet their dental goals and needs. John also enjoys working with funny, caring, and dedicated people every day. When not in the office John enjoys pursuing graphic arts, finding the newest app for his tablet computer, and spending time with his girlfriend and family.
